About Yolonda Sanders, Guest Speaker for 2008 Retreat
School in 1994, I began my college career at Capital University (Columbus, OH) where
I received a Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Criminology. I then completed my Master’s degree in Sociology at
The Ohio State University.
Prior to pursing a full-time writing career, I worked as a researcher for the State of Ohio. I currently live in Columbus, OH and I'm a member of First Church of God. I enjoy spending time with my family. In addition to writing, I like to read, sing, listen to music, and watch professional basketball games.

About Sandra P. Griffin Guest Speaker for 2008 Retreat
Sandra P. Griffin, LPC resides in Huntsville, AL and is a partner along with
her husband, Pastor Reuben B. Griffin in their private counseling practice,
Changing Lanes Christian Wellness Center (CLCWC) located in Madison, AL. CLCWC's
goal is to provide services that will address the needs of the whole
individual - mind, body, and spirit. CLCWC reaches the mind through various
psycho-educational group and individual sessions, it reaches the body through
NEWSTART, a healthy lifestyle teaching tool, and it reaches the soul through a
Bible based approach. •
Mrs. Griffin has solid experience in counseling families, individuals, groups and college age students (i.e. depression, stress, anxiety, sex addiction, life adjustments, substance abuse, career counseling).
• Proficient in a family systems approach to counseling with special training
in addictive family systems.
• 3+ years of experience in didactic format, up-to-date information on chemical
dependency and its affect on the family (i.e. 12-step, disease concept,
codependency, relapse & recovery, family roles in addiction) as well as
presenting workshops on marriage and family issues.
• Trained in assessment and referral of families or individuals that need
additional help.
• Skilled in multi-disciplinary case conference for the purpose of consultation
and clinical staffing.
• Knowledgeable in testing analysis for career, temperament, personality,
marital and premarital.
• Crisis and employee assistance counseling.
She’s also a mother and active in her husband’s ministry as well as a member of the American Counseling Association and American Association of Christian Counselors. Mrs. Griffin will lead out in the Name Your Issue session at the 2008 retreat.
